About

All our Technicians are Qualified Electricians and are trained to either Level 1 or Level 2 Thermography certification at the University of Melbourne

Thermal Imaging (Thermography) is a method of producing images from invisible thermal radiation that is an essential part of every Commercial and Industrial business preventative maintenance plan. It provides an effective method of finding electrical components that are operating above their correct temperature. We can then accurately identify problems early, allowing them to be documented and corrected before becoming more serious and more costly to repair.

A Thermal Imaging camera can scan entire motors, components, or panels at once - never missing any overheating hazards, no matter how small, providing our Electricians with real-time feedback to make on the spot decisions to keep your machinery working and eliminate failure that is otherwise unseeable

Typical reasons for temperature hot-spots

  • Overloaded circuits producing an excessive heat build up

  • Loose or corroded connections which increases resistance in the circuit creating a Hot Spot which can lead to fires

  • Insulation and component failure

  • Wiring Errors

The non-contact technique of thermal imaging allows Surveys to be carried out under "Normal" working conditions, which therefore involves minimal interference to the day-to-day running of the business.
